Issue with Student Verification: Nepali Calendar (B.S.) and Lack of Institutional Email #186344

This is a common limitation of the automated Education verification, especially in cases like yours. The system isn’t good at handling: Non-Gregorian calendars (like Vikram Samvat), which can cause valid dates to be misinterpreted Universities without institutional email addresses, which is allowed but often triggers “not enough information” automatically You did the right things already, but unfortunately there’s no way to upload sensitive documents or request manual review directly through a community post. The recommended next step is to contact GitHub Support and ask for a manual review of your Education application. In the support ticket, clearly explain: The calendar difference (B.S. vs Gregorian) That your university does not issue institutional emails That you can provide official proof (ID, portal screenshot) privately if needed Support can review documents securely, which isn’t possible here in the public forum. Hi everyone,
I am writing to seek assistance with my GitHub Student Developer Pack application, which has been repeatedly rejected for "not enough information."
I believe there are two main factors causing this automated rejection,
Local Calendar (Vikram Samvat): My student ID and school documents use the Nepali calendar (B.S.). My ID shows a validity date of 2084-01-31, which corresponds to May 2027 in the Gregorian calendar. The automated system seems to flag this date as invalid or "too far in the future."
No Institutional Email: My campus, Dhawalagiri Multiple Campus (Tribhuvan University), does not provide .edu or institutional email addresses to students. I am applying using my personal email.
I have uploaded:
My official Student ID card.
A screenshot of my profile from the official Tribhuvan University student portal (exam.tu.edu.np) which is in English.
My GitHub profile name matches my ID exactly, and I am applying from my actual campus location in Nepal (with VPN disabled).
Could a staff member please advise on how I can provide proof that the automated system will accept or help me with a manual review?
i don't know i can upload my student id or prove here or not so i post without my id/prove hopping that is okay.
Thank you for your time and help.
