Hello,
I find the current way SecretScan alerts are retrieved for Generic alarms extremely unsatisfactory and error-prone.
Currently, the type Generic is always hidden in API calls and are only output with explicit specification of the individual token names.
However, the goal for me is to get ALL alerts , analogous to the web interface. I see it as cumbersome and also extremely error-prone, because you have to list every single token name here to really see everything.
If GitHub changes something, adds a new token type, it is missing and the query has to be adjusted separately.
Therefore, I make the following change request to the current API output behavior:
Either all alerts , regardless of whether they are generic or not, are now always output.
Or the query "secret_type" can request all token names at once with a wildcard, without being forced to name them individually.
Of course, I would prefer the first solution, because it makes no sense (but dangerous) for me to hide alerts.
Greetings
