HELP Accidentally removed forks #184749

Forks that were deleted due to removing team access cannot be recovered. When organization-owned forks lose access, GitHub permanently deletes them, and GitHub Support cannot restore them. Re-adding the team won’t help. The only possible recovery is if contributors still have local clones, which can be pushed to new forks. Any work already merged into the upstream repo is safe. |

Are you saying that the fork repositories were deleted from GitHub, or that these repositories no longer have the fork relationship (the "forked from REPO" text disappeared)? |

The issue has been resolved, I contacted Github support and they restored the forks for me. Thank you! |

I had a team with access to a repository in my organization, and the people in that team had access to that repository and each created their fork. I accidentally removed the team, so automatically all these forks were also removed. Is there any way to recover them?
