Scenario

I am a member of an organization with 2 related repositories. I want to make changes that affect both. I've given both branches the same names and raised PR's for both, each with exactly the same name.

What I want to happen

I'd like GitHub to offer me the option of automatically putting a link/comment in both of the PRs linking to the other. This might be a setting an org might need to turn on.

At a stretch, I'd rather like the merge button to have a merge-both option.

My questions

• Is this already possible using actions or bots?
• Is this a feature GH might consider?

GitHub does not currently support autogrouping PRs across repositories

However, this can be done with automation like a GitHub Action :

• Detect a PR in repo 1
• Search repo 2 for a PR with the same branch name or title
• Automatically post cross-links between them
